Playoffs: win or go home
Regular season is over and it’s time for the playoffs. Now teams have to perform and it’s all about how a team plays, it’s all about teamwork. Big names have big roles to play. Now coaches don’t have time to experiment new things. Players now can’t sit back and just see, they have to play their level best, they need to keep their head high and need to concentrate on winning. Now it’s a crucial time for all the teams, some teams will be looking for revenge and some have to defend. At this point they just can’t commit mistakes and still end up as a winner. Only one mistake and they might be on their way back home. Some underdogs are looking for big upsets in the table. Some teams have to prove that still they are the best and others have to prove them wrong. Now it’s just winning or going back home.

Dallas at Thunders:
Game 1: For the second time this season, Durant threw a dagger into the heart of the Dallas Mavericks, this time a jumper from the top of the circle that rattled home with 1.5 seconds left, to give the Oklahoma City Thunder a thrilling 99-98 come-from-behind win. Durant finished with 25 points, grabbed six rebounds, blocked four shots and handed out four assists. Westbrook led the Thunder with 28 points on 13-for-23 shooting and Ibaka tied a career high with 22 points on 9-for-12 shooting. Ibaka also blocked five shots. The Mavericks were led by Nowitzki’s 25 points, 11 coming in the fourth quarter. The Mavs also had big nights from Terry (20 points on 8-for-10 shooting) and Marion (17). Terry was 8-for-9 through three quarters but was only able to take one shot in the decisive fourth quarter and he missed that one.
Game 2: Westbrook scores 29 and Durant scores 25 as Thunders escapes with 102-99 win over Dallas in game 2. Just like every other playoff game these teams have played over the last two seasons, this one came right down to the very last seconds. Oklahoma City’s Harden hit four critical free throws in the last minute and then he and his teammates locked in on the Mavericks forcing Terry to miss a pair of last-second 3-pointers to preserve a thrilling 102-99 Thunder win. Oklahoma City now takes a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series to Dallas for Thursday’s Game 3. Dallas are not the same without Chandler.
OKC leads series 2-0.
Philadelphia 76ers at Bulls: Bulls defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 103-91 in Game One of the first round NBA playoff series Saturday. Rose scored 23 points, had nine rebounds and nine assists. With approximately 90 seconds left in the game, Rose did a bunny-hop on a drive to the basket and came down clutching his left knee. He had to be carried off the floor. Bulls lost Rose for the playoffs with a torn ACL. Rose season is over now and it will be very much difficult for Bulls to win playoffs without Rose.

Indiana opened a 15-point lead and cruised home with a 93-78 victory over Orlando. The Pacers trailed 50-45 early in the third but the defence dug in, limiting Orlando to two buckets in nearly 7and1/2 minutes. Orlando on the other hand is missing their superman Howard who is out of playoffs with an injury. Without him Magic stand a little chance of defeating more talented Pacers.
Series level 1-1.
Boston Atlanta Hawks: Josh Smith had an epic game scoring 22 points and pulls down 18 rebounds to help the Hawks defeat the Celtics 83-74. Boston started slowly but Rondo and Garnett fought back scoring 20 points each. Paul was struggling in whole game. Allen is already out because of injury so aging Boston is in trouble and adding more to their agony Rondo’s suspension for 1 game is like adding fuel to the fire. So without Allen and Rondo Garnett and Paul have to step up to make a difference.
Hawks leads 1-0.
