Assassin’s Creed III Announced
Yes you read it right! The Assassin’s Creed Trilogy is finally coming to a conclusion this year. Ubisoft announced the final game of the trilogy a few days back for a release on October 30th later this year. Ubisoft has claimed that the game will be bigger than its previous console installments and will complete the story of Desmond Miles. It will focus on a new ancestor, Connor, who fought during the American Revolution.
Assassin’s Creed III will be made on a completely new Anvil Engine. There will be seasons in the game, meaning that the weather will be sunny in during summer and the landscape will be covered in snow during winter. Connor, our protagonist, will be able to dual wield weapons and will be able to perform chain kills. The fighting sequences and stealth mechanics will be completely re-vamped with Connor being compared to a “predator”. Connor will have a wide variety of weapons in his arsenal, including a tomahawk, flintlock pistols, a bow and arrow, and of course, a hidden blade.
Like the previous installments, the player will be able to interact with almost all structures and the most intricate details. However, this time around, the player will be able to climb trees and other natural elements to give the game a more realistic feel. Apart from the citizens of various towns, the game will feature animals, like deers and bears, roaming about in the woods, which the player will be able to hunt down and skin for their pelts, then sell them later with the reformed economic system of the game. There will be puzzles similar to The Truth, but they will not be given by Subject 16. Context sensitive actions, such as using enemies as human shields, will be included. The target locking system is going to be replaced by an automated enemy selection, changing the combat dynamics.
Desmond will use the new Animus 3.0 (having a new visual style) and will find himself reliving “significant events”. 100% sync in memories returns, though this time you will be rewarded when you complete memories to 100%. Checkpoints will also be introduced to mission replay, meaning you don’t have to replay an entire mission to get 100% synch. Settings will include Boston, New York and a large countryside. The countryside will be the setting of about 1/3 of the game, and will be the location of many events during the game. The countryside will be about 1.5 times as big as Romein Brotherhood.
The final chapter of this amazing trilogy is finally getting ready for its release. I am certainly very excited for this game since I have always been a huge fan of the series. I am sure that some of you guys will share the same feeling. Hopefully, the game will offer an epic conclusion to an amazing series.
